On the 9th of February 2007, our wonderful daughter Annastarzzia who is 14 years young, was diagnosed with Hodgekin's Lymphoma cancer. We never thought that our hearts would stop beating so fiercely through our chests or that our breaths would be free of trembles ever again but eventually, we could hear the silence.
How does a doctor find the words and grace to tell you of such news? We thank Dr. Williams at Abergavenny hospital for his strength and compassion.
When Annastarzzia was three weeks old, she was diagnosed with Meningitis and we were informed that she had 24 hours to live. If she managed to survive, she would most probably be severely brain damaged, blind or deaf ... every day an Indian doctor would come and attend to her. He would lay his hands on her. There was a calmness that filled the room, unexplainable really but now I know that he was a very powerful healer.... our thanks go to him also. Ten days later we left the hospital with a perfectly healthy baby girl ..... was this a miracle?
As a qualified Hypnotherapist, massage practitioner and a believer in the powers of healing, I can now implement these practices within Annie's recovery. This is so important for me as Annie's mother as there are times when you feel completely helpless and alone.
As a family, we believe very strongly in giving back to our community, so Annie and I have designed a new collection named "Jigsaw". This collection will consist of earrings, bracelet and matching pendant.
We would like all of the wholesale profit from sales to be donated to the charities of Annie's choice - "Latch" , "Noah's Arc" ,"Round table make a wish foundation" and the "Lymphoma society". These charities have been key to us as a family, helping us to survive. As Annastarzzia says - "Putting the pieces back together".
This will be a great exercise for Annie and it will help her to be positive and focused throughout her treatment which commences on the 28th of February 2007. It hopefully, will help some other children and their families get through this intense period.
And lets not leave out the Dad's - Stuart, you are our Rock and we thank you for being the warrior that you are. We were truly blessed when you came into our lives.
Annie has been given so many tools to fill her tool box over the years and we are so, so proud of your strength and commitment to getting better. We love you baby xxxxxx
Thank you for listening ..... it all helps !
